Home sweet home!

We made it back home safe and sound and exhausted. We got back from our trip last Wednesday but because our Internet has been in a funk, and I have been trying to find my feet after a week long vacation I am just now reporting to you!

Stay tuned for more on our trip!

my valentine

Jeremy is the most thoughtful and creative romantic there is. This Valentines day was no exception.  I woke up to a bathroom covered in hearts saying "We love you" and then found a sweet handmade card from Rylee! That would have been enough for me. But he went further.

Meet Tano!

Tano is an orphaned elephant whose parents were killed by ivory poachers. She was found when she was just 2 months old. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is charity organization dedicated to helping endangered wildlife of Africa, and are fostering and caring for Tano (and many other too) and will eventually introduce her back to the wild.

Tano was my Valentines day gift. I was beyond excited when Jeremy told me he was fostering Tano for me. happy Valentine's day...I wanted to show my love to you by helping in your love for helping animals.

Isn't he just the best?!

7 Months!

I was intending to dedicate Rylee's 7 month birthday post to her on her 7 month birthday, but amidst all of the sickness it just didn't happen.

So now, here are some Rylee stats:

Height: 27 & 3/4 inches (95th percentile)
Weight: 18 lbs (90th percentile)

Some of her favorite things to do right now include: playing in the bath, playing with Molly (the cat), and grabbing anything in her reach (tasting it, then throwing it down).

Also, I am pretty sure her cuteness has increased by a large percentage. I didn't know that could happen!

sick days

We have taken a few sick days around our house. Last Thursday Rylee started to develop a tiny cute little cough...Friday she had her six month check up and the doc said she was a little congested, throat a little red, but nothing.  Saturday & Sunday the cough became louder, and snot was running quicker. We made our way back to the doctor on Monday to learn that the poor girl had an ear infection.

We got some antibiotics and ear drops and aside from twice a day when we fight to give her the medicine, she is happy as a clam.

Hopefully she will be getting over this yuck just in time for Jeremy's late birthday get-away. In a few days we are heading up to Colorado for a visit and a couple days of skiing! Looking forward to some quality CO time!

bath tub baby

Bath time has turned into a lot of fun really fast! Rylee has always been  happy sitting in her tub...but she outgrew it pretty quick, and until she was able to sit up on her own it was quite a challenge to clean that baby.

Now that she can sit up with no support (and her hiney sticks in place with the froggy mat) taking a bath is added play time to the day!

Nothing cuter than a baby in the tub!

 (except maybe this...)

6 birthdays

It all started for me at Church camp in Nebraska. That's not where it started for Jeremy. It wasn't until almost a year later in Oklahoma that is started for him...
After that our journey began...and for a long time it existed through the world of MSN Messenger from Colorado to Missouri. This video posted at A Cup of Jo completely sent me back in time.

I am so thankful that we pressed 'enter'. I love you Jeremy Dean Sigle. The last 6 February 4th's have been a wonderful reminder of the gift that God is sharing with me. Happy Birthday!

hooray!

Welp we made our way through 2 days without water thanks to below freezing temperatures. (We escaped to a hotel in Lubbock for showers tonight!) I am quite fond of Punxsutawney today & the news delivered on groundhogs day!

Yay for spring!

snow day

It was cold cold cold here today! It was also the first time it has snowed here all winter long! So we got Rylee all bundled up into her snow suit (that has been waiting in her closet since before she was born) and introduced her to the wonderful fluffy cold!

She wasn't too bothered or interested in any of it really...I think she was so cocooned in her winter wear that she didn't have much of an idea what was going on.  We only stayed out in the 10 degree weather long enough to take these pictures then we were all back in to the warm house to our sweat pants, movies and snacks!

Snow days are the best!
